Ok, I think my setup is pretty simple, but there seem to be so many options for configuring these two radios that I want to make sure I'm doing what's optimal.
We have the Extreme connected to our cable modem and the Express set to extend the network.
I only have two computers using wireless in my house: a new MacBook Pro with a wireless N receiver and an older Toshiba with a wireless G receiver.
1) So what radio mode do I set the Extreme to? There are so many options.
802.11a/n - 802.11b/g
802.11a/n - 802.11g only
802.11n only (5 GHz) - 802.11b/g/n
802.11n only (5 GHz) - 802.11b/g
Automatic??
2) The Extreme has surprisingly little range which is why I bought the Express. Is it better to use it in extend mode or as its own client? I use it for both improved reception around the house and AirTunes.
