I just bought an MBP running SL. I already have another MBP running Lion. So far, so good. Now I would like to swap the hard drives, as the new MBP has a 320 GB one and my other one I upgraded to a 750 GB drive.

What is the best way to "swap" the drives, ie physically swap the drives and maintain most stuff from my old machine? I would like to use the occasion to make a clean install, too. Ideally:

Backup my stuff to TimeCapsule, erase the 750 Gb disk, put it into the new MBP, then fresh install Lion, then restore email, keychain, bookmarks. Then fresh install required apps from scratch as well. finally carry over docs, pics, music, vids etc.

So what is the best approach? First backup to TC, then install Leopard, then SL, then Lion?? And how to get my stuff back from thebackup without the junk that has accumulated over time?

Any help is appreciated!
