God i'm busy on here today!

A few questions that I'm puzzling over:

1. Ive had a clear out of music but want to update itunes so that it removes the albums which have been deleted. How can i do this?

2. I am using 10.4.11 with bootcamp beta. I'm aware that there is a timelimit on bootcamp, does anyone know how long this limit is?

3. is there anyway of increasing the size of a partition without removing it and starting again?

Cheers guys

1. Use an Applescript to do this - Super Remove Dead Tracks

2. The beta has already expired.

3. Not as far as I know. I think you need to clone the drive then delete the partition and clone it back. Unfortunately you can't do this without upgrading to Leopard.

Many thanks,
just 1 point...

If the beta has expired, why can i stil access windows?

Cheers

It means that apple no longer support it ie:updates & stuff (it does'nt mean it'll stop working and be
auto nuked from your Mac) Just make sure you keep it otherwise your'll be forced to upgrade to
leopard (if you need windows) as you wont be able to download it again (bootcamp beta)

Hope that clears things up for you

cheers neil, i'm used to microsoft who'll do that to ya. lol

oh forgot to ask - i'm having real issues installing leopard so is there a full version of bootcamp to buy for 10.4?

when i try to install, it asks for the pref language and then tells me "osx cannot be installed"

I could not get the Leopard boot camp version on the install disc to work on Tiger either. You can torrent it though since you already own Leopard.

thats a new one on me,have you got something you can back stuff up onto
as you could try booting from cd hold down the c key while booting go to the
menu bar click disk utilitys then your drive zero out the data reformat the drive hfs+journaled then try reinstalling the os

Or you can do something with the clock re-set it if your stuck with tiger (set system clock back before
i think it was oct 1 2007)

Or post another thread with this language thing issue as like i said im not sure on that one if you
already have the disk why pay for it and not use it

Reference the Bootcamp Beta 1.4 for Tiger.

You should be able to set your system clock back before October 1st, 2007, then you can use the Beta.
