Can someone tell me what is the difference between the screens of these 2?

Within 30mins of looking at LED laptop screens (macbook, toshiba), I get SEVERE PAIN, strain, redness and headache.

I can look at ipad air screen for 10 hours though..

What is the difference in these screens??!

What is wrong with my eyes.

( I have seen 2 ophthalmologists, but they have not been able to help me)

What resolution do you have your rMBP set at? If the display is set at Best for Display, it should be fine. If you have it set at Scaled and set for More Space, that may be why you're experiencing eye strain.

It may be the way you are sitting. Neck and arm strain are major factors. Pinched nerves in the neck may be contributing to your condition depending upon your posture.

Pinched nerves in the neck are not going to cause eye strain. Not a doctor but someone who has had a lot of problems with pinched nerves and did a lot of research on it. The symptoms of pinched nerves are generally pain in the extremeties.
