Just upgraded to a 2022 M2 Macbook Pro with Ventura and I've been editing photos and so far, so good. However when I view some photos in Preview Viewer (which I like to do as it is a quick and handy slideshow), the shadows are brought up in level, like a sort of HDR effect? The strange aspect is that if I just open the photo in Preview it looks fine until I make it full screen or enlarge it or run a slideshow when it exhibits this problem.

Here's a screenshot of a section of a photo before and after viewing full screen - any ideas how to switch off this HDR effect?:
