Hey guys, just a quick question looking for your opinion on this. I have 4+ Macs in the house, all older. All but one capable of running shadow cloud gaming. I sold off my 2 gaming rigs in favor of finally owning Macs and being able to still play all of my games using Shadow. It works well on my '11 Mac mini, late 08 aluminum unibody MacBook, my early 09 MacBook, and my late 2009 MacBook, as well as the kids 2010's. All of these machines are core 2 duos (except the Mac mini which is i5). One machine I can't get it to work on is my early 2009 iMac. with the original Nvidia GPU the app would load but the login screen would just be a gray box. You had to try and find the radio button on the application to login but nothing would load. After upgrading to the 4850, it loads up the application just fine with all visuals on the application showing this time, but still won't work. Shadow just won't start windows, and in the rare case it does, it crashes. Makes me think it might be something to to with the CPU. This machine has the e8435 I think. all my other Macs have much slower cpus and it works just fine, great actually. I have a T9500 I was thinking about putting in there, or I could try and find another Mac specific core 2 duo to pop in, it just has to have the same FSB.
What machines are you running shadow on? I spend most of my time on my Mac mini with its ultra wide monitor, but would rather sell it to use the iMac full-time. My iMac even seems to be faster all around, mostly because I don't require much multicore performance.
