Shadowed streaks on MBP screen?

Hello,
today I powered up my notebook to find shadowy, gray streaks vertically going up the screen?
It is still under its first year of warranty... any ideas on what the problem is? Also, to get it serviced, it would it be more quick to bring it to the store than to ship it off, right?

Take it to an apple retailer store and have them look at it.
