I have a mid 2010 MBP 15 inch with hi-res matte LCD.
Recently it's developed a weird thing on the display and it depends on how the computer has been resting (sitting up with display open or traveling in a laptop bag):
It's considerably brighter along the bottom inch of the screen and when a document or webpage is open, the brighter spot glows orange. Everything is still legible, just more orange. If it's in my bag for a bit, the bright strip moves to the side. I don't know if there is some bad liquid in there or what.
I'm not the only one in my office who uses it, so someone could have done damage, I'm not sure how to tell! Any thoughts?? Is it possible AppleCare will cover it?
