With a macbook of 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo, 1Gb 667MHz DDR2 ram, it is suitable for me to install Leopard? Will it slows down the whole system terribly?

Thank you.

You're a newb - but seriously?

Look at Apples web site for min requirements.

Or search the forums.

Of coz I know that I have met the min requirement, but I am just afraid that it might slow down the system a lot. And yes, I am a totally newb.

keep your tiger discs around in case you have some major leopard issues. However, you will probably be happy with it. When upgrading, immediately install 10.5.1 (from what I've read anyway). If you have a Yamaha Cavit, it won't work on Leopard. I found out the hard way. Read the list of applications that won't work, make sure none of them are currently crucial for you. Further updates of leopard will probably bring compatibility/function back.
