New Freeform app: is it just me or it is not possible to draw shapes snd straight lines, drawing and holding the Apple Pencil?

Yes, I am not able to do that in Freeform

It’s not an option currently, you’re have to use the dedicated shapes instead.

It's very confusing to have more powerful drawing features and brushes in the Notes app. Why waste my time forcing me to grab shapes when I could just draw and hold?
