ShapeShifter Tweak not Working

Was just messing around with the look of osx on a tip from MacWorld today. Downloaded ShapeShifter and got a theme running, but everytime I went to tweak something, it wouldn't save. I kept getting a message along the lines of 'unexpected error.' I got irritated and uninstalled shapeshifter for now. I was wondering though if anyone has encountered this problem and if there's something I can do to fix it. I was making changes by going to 'colors' and then on the areas I wanted to change I would change the option to change manually (or something like that) and then change the color in the box on the right.
I didn't find the instructions or help pages that came with shapeshifter to be of much use...
