Share bluetooth with Apple Watch and a BTheadphone?

So the Watch uses bluetooth to connect with the iPhone. Now can I also use my bluetooth headphone as well? How many bluetooth devices can you connect at the same time to the phone?

My iPhone is paired with my Apple watch, car audio and BT headphones. At any given time its connected to at least 2 of these.

I see. I didn't know I can connect more than one bluetooth device to the iPhone at the same time.
What's the bluetooth's range of the Apple Watch? How far can you guys walk away from the iPhone?
