Share contacts as MMS?

Can anyone confirm if I were to tap share contact, it creates a new MMS? I tried to share a contact with my friend and he is unable to view it because it's being sent as a MMS and is unable to open.

It gives the option to send as an e-mail or MMS.

Unfortunately, my friends using Sony and Nokia can't view them. Is there a way to get around this?

There is quite a handy free app called copycontact: http://appshopper.com/utilities/copycontact

It allows you to copy contact information and then paste is into a simple sms format which you can then theoretically send to any cell phone.

I use it quite often and it works well - also you don't have to pay the data costs that go with MMS
