I could easily do it on Tiger, but I can't figure out how to do it on Leopard. I read websites on how to do it, but it still makes no sense how I can share files from my Leopard Macintosh to my roommates windows pc (windows xp)

thanks!

Open up System Preferences.
Choose the "Sharing" option.
Turn on "File Sharing"
Click "Options"
Make sure that "Share files and folders using SMB" is enabled.

(optionally)

Add the specific directories you want to share to the Shared Folders list.

He would open up an Explorer (not internet explorer) window, and then in the address bar type //XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (where the Xs are replaced by your IP address) He then logs in, and there you have it.. all done.
