my dock is getting way too cluttered with apps. i use quicksilver but am wondering if there is any dock utility that lets me break apps on the dock into categories? if there isn't some elegant way, i'll just strip down the dock as clean as i can i guess and use butler/quicksilver.

i used to use dragthing back with panther but i'd like to keep the skinned dock theme i am using now with my purchased candybar software.

thanks in advance.

thanks for the quick reply
no way to break apps up into stacks like leopard arranges documents/downloads?

You sure can break them up. Just create a folder full of app aliases and drag that folder to the right side of the dock.

OK, I know this is not free but for $14 it sure does a nice job of doing what you describe- Overflow by Stunt Software only uses one space in the dock and offers a lot of flexibility.

yep. it's what i was looking for, and will pay for. thanks. i'd seen it before but misplaced the url.
