The 'share' button for my project in FCPX doesn't mention the iPod Classic. The export to 'Apple devices and/or iTunes' options (as well as in the 'Media Browser' choice) are limited to 4 sizes : "iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and MAC & PC". No mention of the iPod as such.
As my FCPX (10.0.5) project already and evidently is on my iMac (version10.6.8), I wonder which option to choose and how, if still necessary, it is then imported in iTunes.
So, what is the exact workflow to follow in this case? The 'Export Media' way, also in the share button?

Try using the iPhone preset. The files will be a bit larger (480 wide instead of 320 wide), but iTunes will tell you if the file won't work for the iPod. If that's the case, right-click on the file and tell it to recompress for iPod. It's a slow process, but it works.

Or, if you also bought Compressor 4 (I highly recommend it for anyone that uses FCP X), it has presets built in for classic iPod devices.
