Is there any way to set up an iCal calendar that can be accessed by multiple users on the same computer?

Basically, I want my calendars and the wife's calendars in our own user accounts, but have a "family" calendar that we both have read and write access to.

Ideally this would be local, but if we need to sync up and down to a server that would be fine, as long as we both retain full read/write access from our respective accounts.

Me Too

I have been long waiting for this ability on my MAC. To be able to have 2 user accounts on the same MAC share a common "Family" calendar would be fantastic.

So far best solution I can see is to sync both iCal calendars with a common Google Calendar. That way if my wife puts an appointment in her iPhone, she can put it in the family calendar, and I can then sync my MAC, and iPhone and get the same appointment.

Anyone else got a better solution??

Love to get this working.

**UPDATE**
I have found a small application called Spanning Sync.
This application does a 2 way sync with google calendar. I made a family calendar in my google account, and just sync both iCal calendars to that 1 account. Works a treat, but the fee is a bit hard to swallow.

BusySync from BusyMac without a doubt. We do this for our small business and it works great.
