I've got a windows netbook with no dvd drive. Thought of letting my imac dvd drive share with it. So my netbook sees the imac dvd drive and I can burn a dvd with my netbook on the imac dvd drive.

Is this possible? Or does the 'share dvd cd' option only work between mac computers?

That DVD sharing feature is Mac-only. Though, if the netbook has FireWire, you could take advantage of FireWire target disk mode on the Mac.

I believe Toast on the Mac offered this kind of feature a long long time ago, so it's possible there might be third-party software that will do this.
