I want to share the internet from my Mac mini to my old Digital Audio G4. I didn't think this would be too difficult. I know I can't connect the G4 to my wireless router because of the security. I have an old Airport base station that I know still works because I connected it to the router a while ago to connect my Pismo & it worked fine. The problem is that it's not convenient to have the base station connected to the router all the time. I thought if I connected it via ethernet to the mini & turned on internet sharing everything would be fine. It all looks pretty good but alas no internet on the G4.

Any suggestions? I'm sort of stumped. I don't know what to do next. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for your suggestion but I have got it working now. I think I was over complicating it.

Wondering now if I can get the internet working in OS 9. I've forgotten what to do. Maybe there's not much point anyway but it would be cool.

All working now. The internet on OS 9 is pretty useless now but it's fun to get it set up properly...

Yeah, you can browse some places like the Macintosh garden on it though. And I used my G3 wallstreet with a web rendering proxy a few months ago and that was kinda fun.

I basically just network os9 to access my NAS, though.

I might have another go at sharing from the Mac mini to the Airport base station so that I can connect all my old computers wirelessly rather than just one at a time with the Ethernet cable.
