I love the idea of having a family calendar that my wife and I can dump things on. I was going to set it up using family sharing but I really don't want to share apps and music and all this other crap. Is there a way to just share the calendar with the Family Sharing feature?

My second option was to create a gmail account, add it to both of our phones and just sync the calendar. I suppose that would work too.

Just wondering what you guys thought.

Thanks for the responses In advance

I have used the Gmail solution for years now, and I must say it's working really good, my wife and I share our appointments.
I have never have any problems with sync, so it's working just good.

You don't need to use Family Sharing to share a Calendar. Any calendar can be shared with another iTunes account. Just click the information button and enter an email address.
