I am a guitar teacher and I have a lot of music, so I store my iTunes library on an external hard drive.
I also have a studio, away from home, where I do some of my teaching. I have my Macbook Pro at home and my old white macbook at the studio.
I'd like to share my Macbook Pro iTunes library with both computers.
Is there a simple way to do this, or do I need to import to my old white macbook from the hard drive?

(having first, of course, selected the hard drive as the location for the library!)

This should work just fine, as long as you are only planning on using the library with one computer at a time. Just start iTunes while holding the option key and select the library that is on the external drive. You should probably make sure you are running the same version of iTunes on both machines, just to avoid any possible problems.
