I know there must be a few posters who use MakeMKV + Handbrake to backup 
their bluray library. Care to share any benchmarks? Improvements over a previous MBP?
You can be as detailed or as general as you want. For instance on my old 2006 MBP I'm encoding the Avatar mkv (38 GB) using Handbrake's default "Normal" preset and it's taking almost 18hrs lol. I figure an i7 MBP would cut this time half at least.
