Hi,
We have are sharing Mac Mail on Mavericks for four salespeople (they're rarely at their desk). Mail is set up with their four accounts/mailboxes. They recently got a new manager who prefers to send them all group emails. When his messages are received by all of the mailboxes, the email appears in each of their mailboxes and a notification appears next to their name.

However, if one person reads this group email from their own mailbox, all of the notifications in the other turn off and are marked as unread. The person is not viewing it from the main "inbox" but rather from their own mailbox. I tried adding gmail mailbox accounts and I get the same problem. How can we work around this default so their accounts truly function separately?
