My spouse and I have used shared reminders/lists for quite a few years at this point. One is for a shopping list, the other is a to do list for household items like medications for pets, filter changes, and so on.

As of iOS 16, my iPhone is receiving these the same as always but when I add items or mark them as complete, they never update on other devices. It works fine from spouse's iPhone, it works fine from my iPad.

On my iPhone it marks things compete or added but never seems to update that to iCloud at all.

I've removed myself from the shared list and added it back. Same issues and again, only on my iPhone. (13 Pro Max all updates.)

Anyone had this happen to you and/or have a solution to the problem?

Edit: Tried creating an entirely new list to share it. Once subscribed, same thing happens with that. Spouse never sees items I've added or marked complete.

Have you tried deleting the app from your phone, reinstalling and restarting your phone?

Might turning off Reminders in iCloud settings on your phone, choose the "remove from the device" option, then re-enable. Might shake up whatever is hanging things up.

I'll give that a shot. I did talk to tech support chat and was escalated to a specialist when nothing worked that we tried. Will update after that call.

Yes, oddly none of those things worked. I may end up having to reinstall the OS but was hoping for a magic solution in the meantime. hehe

Thought I'd update. The specialist was nice, call was helpful. They had me repeat what you suggested (which hadn't worked) while turning off phone while she did something and then came back up, turned it back on after she had finished whatever, and it worked.

Now, the cynical side tells me what you suggested with the power off is what did it; but, it was a nice experience anyway with support.

Thanks again, folks!
