Hi, I regularly scan stacks of documents on my Canon MX310 scanner/printer. Works great, both with the scan feature in Preview as with the Canon scanner software.
I'd like to be able to scan as well from a laptop on my wireless network. I shared the scanner (via system preferences) and it nicely pops up in Preview on the laptop.
Now, from the laptop, I can scan single pages from the flatbed screen perfectly. I can also scan documents from the document feeder. The problem, however, is that when the document feeder is used, only the LAST page is scanned. For every page, the screen says 'Page #1'. By contrast, with exactly the same settings in the host computer, each page is correctly scanned and the software says 'Page #1', 'Page #2', 'Page #3'. and so on.
Exactly the same thing when I use Image Capture for scanning. On the host computer, all individual pages are correctly scanned, while on the remote computer only the last page appears.
I'm puzzled... I expect this is an OSX issue, not a issue specifically related with my scanner (but I may be wrong...)
My system: iMac 24" host computer with OS 10.6.6, Canon MX310 directly attached to USB port. Remote laptop: MBP 17" i7, also with 10.6.6. All latest patches installed.
~Thanks for any comments,
rudi
