Sharing a single keyboard/mouse with multiple Macs?

So this is how my setup works at the moment. I have 3 pairs of keyboard/mice depending on which machine(s) I'm running.
1 for any modern (BT 4.0+) system, 1 for any machine with Bluetooth (so mostly Early Intel) and the last pair for my PPC desktops that only have USB. This is extremely annoying to deal with.

I want to remove the last (USB) pair from my desk since it makes setting up a computer a hassle, and frankly the Mighty Mouse is much better than the older Apple Mouse in my opinion. However this means that I don't have a keyboard or mice that I can use with my PPC desktops.

Is there a way to share the keyboard and mouse from one Mac (that supports Bluetooth) to another which doesn't. (Basically a KVM without the V.) I was thinking of just using Screen Sharing but wondering if there is a better app for this?

You want something like Synergy.
