Have a Samsung(NIC-less) laser printer attached via USB to an XP box. Have enabled USB printer sharing in Printer Properties. My Mac (10.7.2) can see the XP box, but not the printer. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks.

On your Mac, check to see if you can install the printer from the printer section.....stands to reason that if the Mac can see the XP box, it should be possible to install the printer from there.

If that won't work, try installing the printer by connecting it to the mac first to get the drivers, then try putting it back on the network.

Check your firewall settings too....A few ideas.
