I need to share larger video files with a pc
they are often >4gb
From what I understand, this will be tough?
Do I have this right:
NTFS - can read/write on a pc, only READ with a mac
FAT 32 - can read/write with both, but size limited to 4gb files only
Mac (dont know format name) - cannot be read or written by a pc
and How do i format into mac format?
Thanks

NTFS - you're correct, there are third party add-ons that will let OS X read and write to an NTFS partition.

FAT32 - correct.

Mac (HFS+) - Correct.

On your Mac, run Disk Utility and select the physical drive to set up and format a partition.

One more note: if you're using a NAS, you can set up the drive in any format you want and connect to it with SMB from OS X or Windows.
