Hi.

I have an HP OfficeJet 5610 AIO printer connected via USB to the secretary's Windows XP Machine. On the PC side, I have selected to share the printer. (The PC is connected by ethernet to the Wifi box).

From my office, I am using airport on my MacBook Pro (OS 10.4.11) to connect to the network and I am able to successfuly share files in both directions between my MBP and the PC. However, I am unable to see the printer in the "printer set-up utility".

What do I need to do to share this printer?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thanks

You either need to install bonjour on it or use IP printing.

thanks for your reply.

I did download and install bonjour on the XP side, however, the printer wizard only detects printers on my MBP.

it's in the other direction, I want to be able to print from the MBP to a printer connected to the XP. Unfortunately, Bonjour didn't come with any documentation relevant to this.

On the IP Printing side, the printer (Deskjet 5610) is not among the list of HP printers available.

Thanks again.
