My daughter borrows my iPad mini sometimes and uses it alongside her Macbook, and it occurred to me that she could use Universal Control.

However, the iPad is signed into my account, and her Macbook is signed into hers. It seems that Universal Control requires that both are signed into the same iCloud account.

We have family sharing set up, but that doesn't seem to be sufficient. Is there any reasonable way to make this work? I guess logging the iPad into her iCloud account is possible, but I don't fully understand what side effects that has, so I'm reluctant to start messing with it.

I guess this is another good reason to have multi-user support on the iPad, but that clearly is not coming any time soon for whatever reason.

That’s simple. They want customers to buy more iPads instead of sharing them.
