Sharing apps from the new App Store?

I know that you can share apps from the app store with iphones and ipods, but is it possible to share apps from the new app store?

I saw a video on Cnet about how to transfer and tried to a similar strategy with downloading a copy to my desktop via the applications finder, but that did not seem to work...Any suggestions or tips or is this even possible?

Figured it out...apparently it is the same way as with the app store, there was just an issue with my gmail account, gotta find another email server...
