Sharing external HDD through the old "round" Airport Extreme?

Can you share an external hard drive through USB on an old "round" Airport Extreme? I see on the apple site promoting the new APE that this is possible, but while I see a USB outlet on the old AEP, I just don't know if this is available.

Also, how do I locate the external hard drive when I hook into the network from one of my laptops?

No the old extreme's USB port was for printers only.
