sharing files between two accounts with FUS in Panther

My friend just got panther and has two accounts set up. One for him and one for his girlf friend. However, they want to be able to share the same iTunes and iPhoto libraries. How does one do that? Also, how do you keep iChat from disconnecting when you switch to another user?

One user could store the music and the other be linked with symlinks or aliases to the ~/Music/iTunes of the other. Same thing with iPhoto but with the ~/Pictures/iPhoto Library folder instead.
