Sharing guest machine's internet connection with host

my host is Mac OS 1.6 snow leopard and i must connect to a SSTP VPN.
but SSTP only work well on windows 7 and windows 8. my question is can i run a windows 8 on virtual box and connect SSTP there then share my guest (win8) internet with host to use SSTP vpn even on mac ? (i herd about some internet sharing from guest machine with host but i think they don't share vpn, they just share internet directly..)
