I'm excited about the new methods for sharing in Leopard, or what I perceive to be new methods.
From the screenshots I saw, the Finder interface seems a lot more user friendly when it comes to sharing. I also saw a screen shot of the Sharing pane in System Preferences, and it looks like you can easily share any folder instead of just the public one, as well as giving you the option to change settings for user, group, and others.
Are they getting rid of the "Network" globe icon in the Finder sidebar? I often have a lot of trouble with sharing between computers in Tiger. Sometimes the shared resources aren't visible, and there doesn't seem to be a consistent method for displaying different workgroups and grouping computers within them.
Does anyone here have the lowdown on all the changes involving sharing in Leopard? If so, could you post an overview?
