I remember seeing something a while ago that by using a firewire cable, you could put a DVD in one mac and then run it on another.

My dilemma is that I have an ancient Powerbook G4 (Having a 1ghz computer FTW) that can not read dual layer DVDs. My father has a slightly less ancient Powerbook G4 that can. I'd like to try sharing the DVD drive over firewire, but I don't know how.
The method I mentioned earlier was for installing OS X on a computer without a DVD drive. If I recall correctly, you booted the computer with the DVD drive in target mode, put in the DVD and then booted the other computer.

I'd like to install the new WoW expansion... now that I think about it... If I used disk utility to make an ISO and then mounted it on my computer would it install or are there methods in place to prevent copying?
