I'm kind of a newbie to networking etc. and I've got a question. I have been able to get 2 computers to share their itunes and iphoto libraries but I noticed that as soon as one computer closed either program the library sharing stopped. Is there some way to be able to share these libraries across computers on the same home network without needing itunes or iphoto running on the other machine? I tried to see if this was asked and answered on another thread but lost my patience and decided to punt and post. Thanks for any help or insights.

The programs need to be running to share the libraries. You could access the underlying files via basic file sharing, but I don't know if that's what you want based on your question. But if you want to see photos from computer A when you're looking at iPhoto on computer B you need iPhoto running on computer A. Same for iTunes.
