Hi all,

So a family member has finally gotten an iPhone, moving away from one of the Nokia feature phones. I'd like to share a bunch of contacts I have from my phone so they can add them all quickly without manually needing to add them. Any tips on the best/easiest way to do this, please? I have an iPhone and a Macbook, so happy to do this via a laptop if it's easier. Just want the best/quickest way to do this.

I don't want to transfer all my contacts, just select ones.

Thanks.

Have a Mac? Simple there. Select the Contacts you want, File > Export > Export vCard...

Will get a .vcf file of the Contacts and other person should be able to import them into Contacts app on iPhone from an email you attach the file to.

If have a PC, can also export Contacts via iCloud.com website. Select the Contacts, click on the "Share" icon, Export.

And the other person can import .vcf files via iCloud.com as well. iCloud > Contacts > + > Import Contacts.

If no Mac and if comfortable with Shortcuts...

Create a new Contacts Group List. Add the Contacts you want to share to that Group. Then whip up the following, subbing the proper Group name.

Email it and other person should be able open the zip and then import the .vcf files from Files app.

Note: don't think you can access iCloud.com Contacts via i*OS Safari.

Hello! A bit late but finally got around to doing this yesterday and want toi say a massive thank you. It worked smoothly. Now I've just got to make the phone senior-friendly. I've already got it set up so it answers phone calls with the speakerphone automatically.
