The limitations and risk of wiping everything has made me very cautious when syncing my Apple devices, but I think I came across an easy way to get purchased apps, music, etc. on a different device on a different account. (at least not involving a hack or pasting files from PC to PC...also note I'm not claiming to be the first to discover this by any stretch, but I didn't come across it in my brief search)

iPhone 1 is linked to PC1. To get an app from iPhone 2, connect iPhone 2 to PC1 and transfer purchases, disconnect and connect iPhone 1 and sync.

Can anyone verify this does or doesn't work? Also is this illegal? I'd think so, but Apple usually restricts legal activities that might threaten revenue and this seems so simple in theory.
