First off, I am no expert so I'm just giving my feel for the photos. So you should keep that in mind. Secondly, you have a nice looking son with great character in is face and smooth skin features. The numbers 1,2,4 pictures utilize the rule of thirds nicely. I like the 4th one the best because it is the tightest shot and we can really see his face well. His face fills the frame more. The background bokeh is blown out so you would want to have something in the background that would highlight and bring more attention to his face. The brick wall should do. I read somewhere that a background image/wall/buidlng/whatever should be about 10 feet behind the subject. I really do not know if that matters as much as getting something to contrast with the main subject. Anyway, those are my comments fwiw. If you do a round two after some more comments, let's see them.
