I currently use a 2017 mbp with a caldigit ts3+ driving two monitors, webcam, mic and keyboard. I’m now thinking of getting a mac mini which would sit permanently at that same desk, and wondering if there is any slick setup that could help me avoid having to unplug the thunderbolt cable from the mac mini and/or dock every time I need to use the peripherals with the mbp? To further complicate things, I would also likely be getting an eGPU like Razer Core to be used with both computers. Seems like a thunderbolt splitter is the needed device here but do not see those in the marketplace.

Thunderbolt can’t be split in that way, and I don’t know of any toggle switches or anything.

I would hesitate to disconnect a string of thunderbolt devices, especially an eGPU, by simply yanking the cable so you can plug it in do a different Mac. While some things definitely are hot-swappable, I'm not sure eGPUs are, and any storage devices (you didn't mention any in your original post) should be unmounted before disconnecting.

Regardless, pretty sure that nothing like what you want exists for Thunderbolt 3.

The eGPU I'm using on a Mac mini with Catalina does require it to be unmounted first (like any hard drive) before disconnecting the cable. If you don't, it throws up a warning that it has been disconnected incorrectly.
