Sharing WiFi on Mac Pro 1,1 is a no-go

Mac Pro 1,1 with option enabled to share internet over wifi in control panel. No signal is being broadcast. What am i doing wrong?

Does your Mac Pro have a Wi-Fi card in it?

You need to create a network. Like this: http://osxdaily.com/2012/01/05/enable-internet-sharing-mac-os-x/ but use WPA2 encryption (more secure than WEP).

A non-encrypted WiFi network is generated in the control panel setting, but a network is not being broadcast. It does have a wifi card, and wifi is turned on.
