Sharpen Text on Display

Is there a way to sharpen up the text that is displayed? Since I put in my new ATI 3870 HD card the text has a "soft" look to it and does not seem as sharp as it was before. I notice it real bad in iCal, where my highlighted entries are sort of blurry.

Sure is. Take a look at "font smoothing style" in the Appearance preference pane.

I did not notice any change. Do you have to restart the Mac for it to take effect?

I think it is this graphic card, if not.

Thanks for the advice though, I have never noticed that before.

You shouldn't have to restart the computer, but you may have to restart individual applications to see it take effect.
