back in NYC!
The predicament:

1. iPhone 4 fell off counter in bathroom, front glass panel shattered
2. iPhone is no longer in warranty (which doesn't cover accidental damage, anyways)
3. I'm poor and the replacement is $200.

Any magical suggestions about how to schmooze the Apple store into replacing it for free? Any suggestions of other options for repair?

Thanks =(,
Emerson

If there are no massive dent marks or anything (which make it seem fairly obvious that it has dropped from quite a height) I would say that it's cracked by a small tap or something. There are many cases where this has happened, so much for this so called "Gorilla Glass"

How is the iPhone 4 out of warranty when it hasn't even been out on the market for a year. Also, because the front and back of the iPhone 4 is glass most guinesses will replace it once contemplentemary. I say this because there have been many stories where someones glass was shattered and apple replaced it. Good luck :)
