Shattered screen on 3GS.... Won't sync or charge?

Had a bad smashing of my phone. It still turns on and the back screen lights but it will not sync or charge. All of my
Contacts and apps etc are on this. What can I do to put everything on my new phone? Not sure when the last time
I synced with my pc... Thanks

I think during the drop, the connection at the lower part, on the left hand side pop out. Therefore, you can't sync or charge, even the home button is not working. So, open it up and see if it is the case.
