Shattered the 4S screen

I shattered the screen of an iPhone 4S and need to either repair the thing or sell it. Assuming you're the idiot that dropped the phone - would you repair then sell, or just sell? Are there any cost effective ways to replace the screen to Apple standards which I could recoup in the sale price? From what I understand, it's above £150 to replace the screen in the UK which is frankly more than the phone is worth.
