Shazam-like app for the mac or pc?

hey guys! im new to macrumors, i asked a question yesterday and i noticed you guys were so nice to me, so i thought, why not, and ask another question:
is there any application or website that does the same thing as shazam ?
i use either a mac and a pc.
i tried midomi.com, but it doesnt work when i put the mic next to the radio
any suggestions?
