Been running iOS8 since its release and with the new feature of being able to look up tunes playing in the back round with Siri is great.

question is, does it save you searches anywhere?

I like the option in Shazam to look up my history of searches and play them back later with Spotify

They are saved in iTunes. Open iTunes, go to the Music tab and click the list icon thing in the top right.

From there you can select the Siri tab and see your searches

As a side note to how it is working:

Was listening to an XM radio while on a road trip and it handled a number club mixes thrown at it fine. It did less well with classical pieces.

Siri Shazam does not work properly.

I tried to impress my family and it did not work when I asked Siri. But my wife's iphone running shazam looked it found it immediately.

Hopefully it improves.

Huh? You mean the iTunes Store?

Yes. Any of the stores.

Tested it the other day on 31 different songs. Out of 31 songs, it got all 31 correct. That included all different genres. Siri Shazam works great.

Do you have to have the shazam app installed on your phone for this to work? or does it work independently of the app? Would be nice to have one less app.

Don't ask. Just hold siri up to listen to the music! (you should see the little shazam icon if it's working).

No, it works independently.
