Shazam/SoundHound alternatives for original/2G iphone?

Both Shazam and SoundHound are not compatible with my original iPhone - they require a newer version than 3.1.3. Are there any alternatives that are compatible.

i'd imagine you run into all sorts of software limitations.

have you tried this modded ios?

says it also mods the system version so apps believe it's 4.0

there are other hacks to get ios 5 running on your device.. but i bet it would be unbearably slow.
