Tv fell on my macbook, the shift key broke and bent the cd drive ... does anyone thing the key cant be replace easily?

If it's our of warranty, I would suggest opening the machine, taking out the DVD drive (if you know what you're doing/feel comfortable) and applying pressure to bend the keyboard back.

possibly caused damage to the mechanical portion of the key underneath. you can find relatively cheap topcases on ebay or parts supply sites. out of warranty for that is like $150-$200 at Apple or authorized dealers.

Have you tried taking the key off? You can buy replacement keys with the plastic mechanical part that goes underneath on eBay.

I will try that, the keys mechanical part is definitely broken as it bent the dvd drive and dvds cannot go in
